Under 10 Minutes Healthy Rice Bowl

Getting a healthy meal ready in a hurry is always a challenge in today’s busy times. Here is an easy, quick and very healthy option for you, the under 10  minute healthy rice bowl.


First, let’s start with your shopping list. You’ll need;

-Boar’s Head No Salt Added Turkey, sandwich sliced

-Uncle Ben’s Microwave Brown Basmati Rice

-Sargento Reduced Fat Four Cheese Mexican Shredded Cheese

-Publix Greenwise Organic Cut Green Beans, Steam-In- Bag

-One bundle of medium sized asparagus spears

Fill a saucepan with water and bring to a boil.

Put your green beans in the microwave, should be good with 5 1/2 minutes.

Cut the hard ends from your asparagus spears

Slice your turkey into strips

1 minute into the microwave time for your green beans, add the asparagus spears to the boiling water for three minutes

After 3 minutes, pour the boiling water off of the asparagus and replace with cold water.

Remove the beans from the microwave, place the rice in for 1 1/2 minute

Allow the beans to cool as the rice cooks and cut the asparagus spears into smaller pieces.

When the rice is finished, remove and allow to cool for a minute, then mix the rice, green beans, cut asparagus, sliced turkey and shredded cheese into a bowl. Cover and shake. You’re now ready to get a good clean carb, some green vegetables and some good protein, quick and easy!
